The Highway 160 between Pagosa Springs and South Fork runs through the Rio Grande National Forest and it is gently going up and down through deep mountains. A portion of the highway just follows meandering Wolf Creek and goes over the Wolf Creek Pass escorted by the Sheep Mountain on one side and the Treasure Mountain on the other. There is a great scenic overlook near the Treasure Falls which I think is an excellent stopping point to enjoy panoramic view of Rio Grande National Forest and Wolf Creek. The Wold Creek Pass is also a good stopping point to enjoy the view. You can see meandering mountainous road, freshly deep rush green forest with a bit gentle mountains in the background. Now, this is Colorado!
