I was not expecting to see a stuffed wolf while picking up a bottle of wine at the Walkey Bay Spirits liquor store. Not only did I see a wolf, but a dozen other animals on display. Upon inquiry, I learned that the liquor store used to be a former museum. That museum, the Cass County Museum, is now located next door. Small towns often have to be creative with building re-use and I’m glad they could make new use of the space. I’m not sure if this is the only liquor store in town, but it is definitely the most interesting one I’ve been in!
