Wilmington Downtown Riverwalk

Wilmington, NC, United States

Flag
The Wilmington Downtown Riverwalk is one of my favorite places to spend an afternoon or even a weekend. There’s so much to see and do in such a short space of less than two miles. It’s artsy, it’s fun and there are lots of unique shops and waterfront restaurants to enjoy.

One year, we went there for my birthday and spent a couple of days just eating, drinking and hanging out. We took an evening river cruise which was fun, but mostly we strolled the 1.75-mile boardwalk that runs beside the river. Lovers of the 1990s TV series Dawson’s Creek may recognize some of the scenery as the show was filmed here.
