Brussels has much more to offer than most people imagine. Apart from its famous chocolates and beers, there are almost 90 museums, beautiful parks, architecture, bars and much more. Belgium's fascinating capital, and the administrative capital of the EU, is historic yet hip and multicultural to its roots. All this plays out in a cityscape that swings from majestic to quirky to rundown and back again. It is entirely surrounded by Dutch-speaking Flanders and its constituent Flemish Brabant province. As headquarters of many European institutions, Brussels might also be considered something of a capital for the European Union. You should spend at least a couple of days in the city.
