Welcome to Plains, Ga

Plains, GA, United States
20 Kudos
Plains, Ga is located about three hours from Atlanta and it isn't known for much, but it just happens to be the place that Jimmy Carter grew up and currently lives in again. The town has a lot of pride in this fact and the National Park system has even created a Jimmy Carter National sight in this town. You can visit the childhood home, see a giant Jimmy Carter peanut, visit his wife's butterfly trail, visit a museum in his brother's service station and much more. I honestly would not have thought of visiting here before, but I am so gad that we discovered it and spent a day here.
