Wadi Rum!

Wadi Rum Village, Aqaba Governorate, Jordan
4 Kudos
On my first day in Petra, I made Wadi Rum as my first top. Got a private driver and explored the desert! Wadi Rum is also known as the Valley of the moon and it is also the largest wadi in Jordan. It was recognize as a UNESCO world heritage site in 2011. Despite some language barrier with the driver, he was patient and I was able to explore wadi rum to capture some amazing photos of this region. The massive rock formations is just breathtaking and you can do several activities around here. Some parts of the desert you can enjoy a nice camel ride, or have tea at the camp. Some rock climbing activities are available in some areas as well. You can also spot and stay at some of the camps here. I decided to stay at a camp further away closer to Petra. Overall get a guided jeep ride to maximize your time out here!
