The National Museum of Denmark (or "Nationalmuseet" in Danish) is one of Copenhagen's finest and also the largest museum of cultural history. It has a strong focus on the Danish culture, but still features plenty of international sections as well. It is located just a few steps from the famous Strøget shopping mile in Downtown Copenhagen. At the musuem you can learn pretty anything about archaeology, ethnology, ethnography, and natural sciences. Exhibits are mostly bilingual in Danish and English so don't worry about the language barrier. Set aside an entire day at least if you want to dive a little deeper into the museum and to see a good portion of its treasures!
