Vijaya Vittala Temple is one of the highlights of the Hampi temple valleys. Outside of town to the east, you can either take the package tourist route along the road to the south of town and then curving around all the ruins for 15 kilometers circling back. Or you can hike about a half hour along the river, along the pilgrim's path to the site. Once here, this is one of the only temples in the area that actually requires a ticket, and as usual the foreigner ticket is about 20 times that of nationals. But if you have made it this far, it is worth the entrance fee to see one of the better preserved temples in the region.
