Valley Of Kings!

Luxor, Luxor Governorate, Egypt
7 Kudos
Flag
One of the places I highly recommend visiting when you're in Luxor is the Valley of Kings. The Valley of Kings is located on the west bank of the Nile. The valley was used for burials and some of the recent discoveries in 2005 included a chamber and also in 2008 they found two tomb entrances. To date, there are a total of 63 tombs. It was definitely a learning experience for me coming here and seeing the vast discoveries throughout the valley. I also found being with a guide to be very helpful. Be careful of some of the scams common in the area... Take your own photos or have someone you trust take them for you. There are random locals that offer to take it for you, but they will ask for a "donation" before they even hand your own back. Overall, come early! This place is huge!
