While visiting the Goodwood gardens surrounding the plantation I found it interesting that there is a sign put up addressing the fact that the gardens to look somewhat unkempt. This is explained away by the gardens having been inspired by some sort of French style and that a highly manicured look is not desired in the style. Wow that’s a nice explanation, personally I think it’s six of 1/2 dozen of the other. Yes I get that the gardening style may not have been manicured as one might expect of oh say, Boca Raton. However it’s also clear that this museum is not super on top of it when it comes to gardening in general regardless of style. That said it’s still quite a delightTo walk through and there are some beautiful flowers and plants.
