The Fijian archipelago consists of 332 islands and out of all these islands, 226 are uninhabited. Some of these islands are tiny in size but pretty much all of them are absolutely stunning in their natural, untouched beauty. These beautiful uninhabited islands are like hidden gems in the remote South Pacific Ocean. These faraway and secluded lands inspired some popular Hollywood movies, which were filmed on some of these uninhabited islands. The most popular ones are “The Blue Lagoon” movie with Brooke Shields and “Cast Away” movie with Tom Hanks. The uninhabited Monuriki island where Cast Away movie was filmed is now a special day trip destination where you can pretend to be stranded in paradise just like Tom Hanks.
