Tour-Through Tree

Klamath, CA, United States
14 Kudos
If you keep driving along the Highway 10, you would cross the Kalamath River near the northern end of the Redwood National and State Parks. Right after passing the river, there is one of the places that is famous in the Redwood National Park. You need to get off the Highway 101 and the within seconds, you can see a tree through which you can drive your car. This is the Tour Through Tree, a gigantic redwood tree which has a hole in the middle. Information says the tree is a living redwood tree. It is not free and it seems like the area is right outside of the National Park. There is a bit of wait as people tend to take a lot photos while they drive through the redwood.
