During previous trips, I had taken the ferry from Dover, England to Calais, France and we have taken the train leaving from London and arriving in Paris, but this was the first time that we drove from Germany, where my brother lives, to England, where my husband's brother lives. Taking the train from Calais was actually quite easy. We did have to make a reservation ahead of time in order to get our car cross, but we just showed up, gave them the info and then turned over the car. After that, we hopped on the train to make sure we were there to meet our car. The only thing that I worried about was making sure that our car met UK regulations and that we wouldn't get in an accident driving on the opposite side of the road, but it was a success! The pictures here are from the Calais end of the trip.
