During our time in New York City, I was a frequent guest of the Hyatt chain, mostly for business. As a platinum member (at least 50 nights per year), perks were quite generous. We took advantage and traveled to many resorts in the U.S. and abroad. This time, we stayed at the beautiful Hyatt Regency Grand Cayman, a 5 star resort with incredibly wonderful grounds. It was walking distance to the famous Seven-Mile-Beach and they organized many excursions on the island and around. The last recession hit the hotel industry quite hard and the hotel was abandoned. Whatever was left of the resort after many years of neglect was sold in 2016.
Culture and experiences
Unfortunately, we won't be able to stay there again. The resort closed for good thanks to the last recession.
