On a Labor Day week family vacation we stayed in Pawley's Island, South Carolina in a spacious 4 bedroom-3 bathroom condo. Several suggestions for dining out were recommended to us, one of them being the PIT, or Pawleys Island Tavern. The PIT is a small hut like bar located behind a few shops around a pond. It's hard to find from the road so you may need to ask for further directions once you get close. Inside the entire place is covered from floor to ceiling, and the entire ceiling with money. Mostly US one dollar bills but also foreign currency as well, with names, cities, sports teams and other things written on each bill. The menu had some really good food, we shared some pizzas and ordered some salads and sandwiches as well. We each had two or three drinks and for 6 adults with alcohol the bill was surprisingly cheap. I definitely recommend the PIT for a lunch time visit!
