We were there the wrong time of year to enjoy a freshly picked orange, but you could see the blossoms just beginning to appear. Of the cities we visited during our road trip through Morocco, Marrakech was the greenest. This grove of orange trees, in a public park, was just some of the greenery in the city center. There were also lemon trees, and of course, olive groves. I don't know what it would look like during the heat of the summer, but during the winter the sight of green leaves was a pleasure after all the brown we had been seeing for the past few days.
