The Lincoln Memorial

Washington, DC 20037, USA
30 Kudos
During my trip to Washington D.C., I visited numerous monuments, museums, and historical sites. Out of all the memorable sites that I visited, the place that I enjoyed the most was the Lincoln Memorial. I will confess that I lived in Illinois at one time, known as “The Land of Lincoln,” and I have always been fascinated by Abraham Lincoln’s story and achievements. The monument itself was bigger than I imagined. For whatever reason, it was not very crowded when we were there so it seemed very peaceful. The walk up the National Mall to get there was nice, but it was a longer walk than I had originally thought. It’s well worth it though.
