Hanover, New Hampshire is dominated by the grounds and campus (and students) of Dartmouth College – a beautiful town, its architecture is specifically that which I would associate with old school colleges. Then there is the Hood Museum of Art. Very modern, very clean lines, very brightly lit and exceptionally inviting for a building with such large spaces. The art is a variety of modern in paintings, as well as exhibits that change out, with classical pieces including sculpture and photographs. The two floors have lots of space for moving exhibitions. Free admission, and perfect for an indoors kind of day.
