It was our first trip to Kauai and the one resort that kept coming up in my research was the Grand Hyatt. The Grand Hyatt Kauai was our first stop on the Garden Isle and it did not disappoint. This was a sprawling property with waterfalls, multiple pools, a lagoon, a waterslide, tropical birds in the lobby, koi fish, a walking trail along the beach, and good food. Even during COVID with no activities, minimal available dining, no Camp Hyatt, and no Club lounge open, we had a fantastic time. We would definitely stay here again to see what a non-pandemic stay would be like. The huge benefit of being here during this time was fewer crowds.
