This was my first visit to Israel with seven days in Jerusalem. The Church of the Holy Sepulchre was an interesting experience. Right when you enter the church you see the Stone of the Anointing. Like many other places in old city Jerusalem, this church has layers that were built over and renovated though the centuries. This being from things such as natural disasters, aging, and wars. The Catholics, Armenians, and Orthodox all claimed sections of this church. There were many dressed fully in their religious attire. Lots of religious ceremonies were taking place. Staying three hours did not seem long enough. I would return my next visit to Jerusalem.
