The Big House is a wonderful collection showing glimpses into the life of the Allman Brothers Band. Guitars, albums, clothing, pictures, and letters! A really unbelievable amount of memories have been gathered and organized. If you are interested at all in music of The Allman Brothers Band, this is a stop for you. The house itself is historic and lovely, the exhibits are artistic and full of color and info. It was neat to know that former President Carter was also a fan. You don’t have to be a groupie to find it interesting. Staff/volunteers were terrific and very knowledgeable and some knew band members when they first arrived in Macon.
