Templo de Santo Domingo

Historic Centre of Puebla, 72000 Puebla, Mexico

The Templo de Santo Domingo is a church right next to the Capilla del Rosario. Basically the Capilla del Rosario can be considered as a part of the Santo Domingo church or vice versa. The church us quite uniquely in two tones, white and black. The stark contrast gives the view of the church much more dignitary look. The entrance gate to the church courtyard is also an architecture in its own. The church's patron saint is archangel Michael. I am not sure, but I could think that the church was built with stones from nearby quarries which is the rich source of black toned volcanic rocks.
