Located on the southeastern point of Woodley Island in Eureka, California, the Table Bluff Lighthouse, a smallish lighthouse tower, standing only 35 feet high, that was moved to this location in Humblodt Bay. The lighthouse originally sat on Table Bluff just outside Humboldt Bay to warn in coming vessels of the rough and rocky Humboldt coastline. It was originally built in 1892 and served as a warning beckon until it was moved to its present location in 1987. Today the lighthouse serves more as a decoration for the harbor than as a functioning lighthouse, but the light still functions if needed.
