While exploring the Kastro we could see a very impressive row of windmills on a ridge on the opposite side of the upper town. So when we went back down in the saddle I tried to figure how to navigate up there. It didn't turn out to be too hard, and was well worth it as we walked by numerous windmills in varying degrees of condition. We kept walking and ended up at the fascinating remains of a massive circular structure. It is called pondikokastro and looks very ancient - some theorize that it is an ancient tomb. Oh, and the views were also great.
