I've always wanted to take a trip to the Southern Hemisphere but flight time is so long from the US, this trip compressed Australia and New Zealand into 2 weeks. Many said it couldn't be done...but it was done! Of all cities, iconic Sydney needed to be on the list of places to tour. Upon arrival it is like any other city, very much similar to the US. Perhaps no big culture shock since everyone speaks English as well. Took a stroll near The Rocks and Circular Quay and I was taken aback. Wow! Views of Sydney Harbour are unlike any other. I must have walked and taken the ferry to have a 360 degree view of the Harbour, and it never got old. I wouldn't mind living there to be able to take a jog each morning taking in the view of the water and the architecture. There wasn't too much to do but Sydney Harbour really took my breath away. You must see it in person....on TV it's great but in person it just can't be beat!
