The Statue of the Virgin Mary is a beautiful site to see! This is at the Coominkista Pass on the Ring of Kerry and located in Benarourke, Ireland! When I first looked at this statue, I found her quite impressive. She stands high on the side of the mountain, all alone with nothing around her. After visiting Mary and taking pictures of this beautiful work of art, I walked around the statue to try to figure out why she had snakes wrapped around her feet to try to see what she could possibly represent. After looking around her feet, the incredible views and scenery nearly took my breath away. The view is amazing here. I stood there in awe looking at all of the natural wonders that surrounded me. You should plan a visit here! If you ever decided to drive around the Ring of Kerry, be sure to add the Statue of Mary on your list of places to visit. This is the perfect place to get some fresh air and to stretch out for awhile during the day. Legend has it that Mary stands high on the top of the hill overlooking the sea in dedication for all of the sailors lost at sea! Mary stands in front of the area that overlooks the Coastline of west Cork and what a beautiful sight to see. It’s right along the Ring of Kerry so it’s not out of the way.
This place is a must visit. It is one of the most iconic statues I saw along the Ring of Kerry was this statue. Just stop by and check it out. It’s located right on the ring so it is easily accessible for everyone!
