Right in the heart of Vienna, in the main square of Stephansplatz, is St. Stephen’s Cathedral. It is one of the most impressive churches I’ve seen so far on my travels. It gets very crowded around this area, so be prepared to fight some crowds as you try to go in and look around. You can get some of the best views of Vienna from the spire of the cathedral. We took the steps (it is a very narrow and winding staircase.. watch your step!) but there is also an elevator.
