I have to jump on the Bandwagon with my visit to St Mark's Square in Venice. We spent four days in Venice prior to our Mediterranean cruise. Even with four days it was like a whirlwind visit and we didn't get to see everything we wanted to see. We walked from our hotel to St Marks Square and fortunately it was a nice day. We had one day that the rain came down so hard we had to hide in the doorway of a store until we got a short break. We started walking and it poured again so we hid under a bridge near Piazza Roma until we could make it to our hotel. Anyway, when we got to St Mark's Square the crowd was as expected, huge. The line to get inside was extremely long, even the line for the Skip-the-Line ticket holders was long. So we settled for a visit to the outside of the Basilica and the Square until we caught our taxi ride to Murano.
