Well, I'm impressed. I visited the Nobska Lighthouse just outside of Woods Hole, Massachusetts (listed here as Falmouth, MA). I didn't know this until recently, but I guess every lighthouse is different from every other!? Kind of like bridges, I guess. All of a sudden, I'm more interested in looking more closely. This one, like so many others sits on a bluff overlooking the Atlantic, toward Nantucket. Having visited in winter, it was particularly austere and easy to imagine the hardships of the caretakers and family. But a beautiful building and site to sit (benches nearby) and just view the water.
