Most people don't know that you can ski in Las Vegas! Lee Canyon is about 45 minutes outside of town, and a really beautiful place to spend a day. It looks nothing like the desert up there, it's more like Colorado. The snow conditions can vary, some years they have tons and some not much at all. Luckily this year has been going great so far! The ski resort is fairly small, so if you have skied at bigger resorts out west, you might be a little disappointed in the size. But even though its small, it's still enjoyable! The chairs are fairly short, so you can get a lot of runs in. They also have a fairly nice terrain park, but it can be pretty overcrowded with snowboarders. I ski most of the time, so I like to stick to the Sherwood lift. It is considered their "most difficult" chair, but I wouldn't consider it difficult compared to other resorts. It's much more relaxing up that chair, and not as many people go up there. All in all, it's a great place to hang out with friends and enjoy the snow!
