While touring around Glasgow, Scotland we were taken to the famous George Square. One of the famous monuments in the square and definitely the tallest, at 80'' high, is the monument to Sir Walter Scott. The monument was completed in 1837 with the column which was five years after his death. Walter Scott was a famous playwright, poet, historian and novelist. I had to check him out on Wikipedia to see what some of his famous writings were and was very surprised. I recognized two of his writings, Ivanhoe and Rob Roy. I really enjoy the movie Rob Roy, I've seen it several time. I wonder if we were anywhere near the Scottish Highlands where the movie was filmed.
