One of my favorite locations in Oregon is the Silver Falls state park which is near the aptly named town of Sublimity, Oregon. A little over an hour south of Portland, this unique area is home to several beautiful waterfalls that are all within a couple mile walk of each other. We have been out in several different seasons and the area always seems a little different but always beautiful no matter how wet or dry it may be. It is a state park so there are $5-10 parking fees depending on the location you park at but there are well maintained walking paths and several locations to choose from as the starting point depending on the waterfalls you want to see. Fairly easy trails and family friendly. If you get the time make this happen for a relaxing day trip or overnight camping experience.
