Newburgh is an older city in New York State, located about 50 miles North of New York City. Right on the Hudson River, it was one of the original big, bustling cities back in the day. As such, the infrastructure is there, and has even begun a turnaround. Liberty Street downtown has become the center of some interesting and eclectic shops, restaurants, and bars. Pride in the city is there, and the local parks, artwork, and new museum(s) all near Washington's Headquarters are beginning to create a density of culture and interest again. I'll be going back again - this time for some shopping.
