Kapalu'u beach park is located at the end of Ali'i road in the Kona area on the west side of the Big Island. I ran into this sea slug there on a snorkel. I've seen this coral go down hill over the years at this location. You can still see a turtle from time to time, and there is a lifeguard there. Also there is a covered area, a small beach, food for sale, gear for rent for the water, and plenty of people trampling over all of the coral. There are better places to snorkel but this place is still an option.
