School is out on Raro. You know when school lets out on Rarotonga. If the yells of joy don’t serve as an adequate alert, then the masses of nicely uniformed kids lining the small ring road of the island will do it. While they don’t use the same big yellow busses that we do, they do use some slightly smaller buses. But a lot of the kids seem to walk to school, with the cooler dudes driving around on mopeds. A good many of the boys head to the rugby pitch to practice the country’s favorite sport. One thing’s for sure: when school lets out in paradise, it’s cause for celebration.
