Sagres is an historical town that sits in the most south western corner of Europe. It is located in the Algarve region of Portugal, about 30 minutes west of Lagos. The drive from Lagos is very pretty and relaxing. You stay on some side roads and take a scenic approach into the town. The actual town is not too big, however there are plenty of shops, restaurants, gas stations, and super markets. The big draw has less to do with the town and has more to do with the history. There are castles and other historic landmarks in this town. Worth the drive.
