Sagrada Família is one of the most beautiful and interesting basilicas I have ever seen. It began construction in the 1800’s by the architect Antonio Gaudi. Gaudi has many other famous works in Barcelona as well. While gazing upon this church there are so many intricate details and symbols that are seen throughout. Everything was placed with careful thought and has meaning behind it. Once you step inside the basilica the first thing you do is look up. There are beautiful columns and stain glass everywhere! The columns are meant to be tree trunks spreading their branches throughout and the stain glass colors each represent the seasons. Very beautiful!
