We met up with some family members during our California vacation, and they wanted to take us to Rombauer Vineyards. I've very glad that they did. The vineyards are located a few miles outside of St. Helena, in the Napa Valley region. We were greeted by our guide, who gave us a brief history of the winery and then took us inside for our tasting. We received about 8 different types of wines, all of which were fantastic, and I'm not even a huge white wine drinker. The guide was very knowledgable and you could tell that he really enjoyed his job. After the tasting, he led us down into the wine cave to see where they store their wine, and then we had a picnic in their large gardens. I haven't been to many wineries in Napa, but this was definitely a standout.
