On our road trip while visiting Ireland my husband and I went to the famous and historical Rock of Cashel located in Tipperary, Ireland. Anyone that visits this part of Ireland typically has this on their list of places to see. We got there after hours so it wasn't open, and unfortunately, they were doing some repairs so there was scaffolding on one side of the building but we were still able to get some good photos. It was typically for the kings but in 1101 the fortress was donated to the church. Fun Fact: Queen Elizabeth II visited the Rock of Cashel in 2011 when visiting Ireland.
