Belize is probably most famous for its beautiful ocean water, diving, and beaches. However it has more than its fair share of inland treasures as well, and part and parcel of that is its many fresh water rivers. We had the opportunity to observe a few of them on our travels through the country. As those who follow my stories know, I am a big fan of the beach. However there is something incredibly peaceful about sitting beside one of these tropical rivers, away from all the tourist activity, surrounded by lush tropical vegetation and the sounds emanating from the surrounding rain forest. Not a bad place to enjoy a Belkin brew!
