A river safari can be a great way to view wildlife in some places in Africa, such as Chobe National Park in Botswana. For creatures that live in and along a river, it gives an approach that can get you close, without creating much of a disturbance to them or any danger to you. The river has boat traffic all the time, so if they cared about it, they’d have gone elsewhere long ago. Alligators are one of the animals that you’d really not want to get so close to on land, but can see right nearby on the river. Hippos, buffalo and elephants also find this a great place to hang out or get their daily water supply.
