I loved Victoria for a variety of reasons, and the food was definitely one of them. We had a bunch of amazing meals during our trip, but my favorite was the fish and chips at Red Fish Blue Fish. Situated in a former cargo container on the harbor, Red Fish Blue Fish serves probably the best fish and chips I've ever had--and I've had a LOT. It's one of my favorite meals.
The line here is crazy. I used to live in Austin, Texas, which is known for ridiculous lines at the more popular restaurants, and even I found this line painful. It moved agonizingly slowly. We probably stood in line for an hour. But, thankfully, it was well worth the wait.
You have your choice of fish: cod, halibut or salmon. I don't remember for sure which I chose, but I would bet I got the cod because I generally think of cod when I think of fish and chips. It was crazy delicious, but if we go back, I'd try the halibut, which is probably my current favorite fish.
Don't let the line scare you off. This is the place to go if you are a fish and chips fan.
