Real Jardin Botanico

Madrid, Community of Madrid, Spain

Located in the city centre with a reasonable entrance fee, this Botanical Gardens attracted me to visit. When I first entered, the gardens was pretty quiet with gardeners scattered around maintaining the upkeep of the gardens. There is a decent collection of plants with a good representation of foreign flora. My favourties were the cute Japanese Bonsai plants near a pond environment and various types of cacti in a desert environment. There was also a tidy green house. Later during the day, the site started getting crowded as local high school students came as a school group to study botany.
