Rainbow Row in Charleston, South Carolina lives up to it's name. There are thirteen historical houses that are all painted beautiful bright pastel colors. What was even more impressive was how they were decorated for the fall. Also fun to look at was the beautiful gates keeping strangers out and welcoming visitors along beautifully manicured walkways leading into their garden area or back doors. I also enjoyed taking in all of the architectural details in each of the houses. When we were visiting we were surprised at the number of people taking selfies, or being photographed by a professional photographer for senior pictures, engagement pictures, etc. They just planted themselves in front of these houses, gates, walkways like they owned them. While they did offer beautiful backdrops, those people were missing out on the beauty that surrounded them.
Points of interest
While exploring old cities we love visiting their cemeteries, seeing the old tomb stones, looking at how old and how young people are. It makes for an interesting time.
