Polynesian and O'Hana

Kissimmee, FL, United States
7 Kudos
When we decided to splurge and stay at the Polynesian resort at Disney World, we felt like we were transported to another tropical country! It really does have an "another world" vibe to it. I can't say enough about the service and the staff at the hotel. Top notch. The pool is one of the best at WDW. The waterfall and the water slide are the top attractions there. Kids love this pool!
Another great benefit of the Polynesian is that you're one stop away from the Magic Kingdom via the monorail.
We had dinner at O'Hana restaurant for their "all you care to eat" buffet. The food is served family style and the servers bring huge skewers of chicken, pork, shrimp and steak cooked over the open flame. The food is so delicious! This is one of our favorite restaurants. The grilled chicken and potstickers were my favorite but you can't overlook the bread pudding with the caramel sauce and ice cream. It makes me hungry just thinking about it! It is very expensive to eat here and difficult to get reservations.
The other restaurants are very good too such as Kona. All in all, a lovely place to stay.

Words can't describe this acrobatic show. The entire theater is built especially to house the show. Very expensive but worth it.
