Pizza to Warm the Soul

Winchester, VA, United States
20 Kudos
My husband and I traveled to Winchester, VA to attend two small concerts by one of our favorite bands on a Friday and Saturday night at Bright Box Theater. The Friday night show was an acoustic show and the Saturday night show was the full band. The theater was a great venue with maybe seating for about 100 people which provided a very intimate show. Winchester itself is a very quaint town and we thoroughly enjoyed walking around and exploring the town that was decorated for the holidays. But, what we didn't expect was the frigid temperatures and the wind that had come out of nowhere. We ducked into Roma Old Town Pizza who served awesome brick oven pizza's. It was just what we needed and warmed my belly and soul. Typing this now, my mouth is still watering thinking how good this pizza was. :)

Culture and experiences

Museum of the Shenandoah Valley
We had to get out of the cold and wind and found this museum. It was larger than we expected and we thoroughly enjoyed spending the day learning about the area and history of the area.

The George Washington A Wyndham Grand Hotel
This hotel was beautiful - staff was excellent - and close to downtown Winchester.

Piccadilly's Public House & Restaurant
Stopped here for a drink after the show and while we felt like we were at a college hangout the drink was fabulous!
