Eidfjord was one of the most beautiful towns we visited during our trip to Norway. It’s easy to see why: Around every corner and down every path, you’ll find absolutely spectacular views of the fjords or the mountains. Haphazard old stone fences and rustic (yet beautiful) houses add atmospheric charm and provide a sense of scale, not to mention injecting a bit of a human element into the scene.
I also liked how easy it was to hike right from where our cruise ship docked. There are a couple of easily accessible paths, each offering stunning views with varying levels of difficulty.
