There is so much to see in Paris that I can't really tell you in one story. Now I will talk about the top places to check out! So rule #1- always take a hop on-hop off bus tour to get to know the main spots in the city. In this case we took the "Big Bus" tour, current prices are 29E per adult for one day OR you could do the combo package with a boat tour of the Seine river for 38E. In this case we only did the bus and took the boat separately. The bus has really 9 stops: Of course, starting at 1. the Eiffel tower, 2. Champ de Mars (gardens by the tower) 3. Opera Garnier (for me it was one of the most beautiful buildings in the city) 4. The Louvre 5. Notre Dame cathedral 6. Musee D'Orsay (Huge art museum, another must see... that I didn't see! lol but it houses paintings from Monet and Van Gogh-the most known ones and of course many others!) 7. Champs Elysses and Arc de Triomphe 8. Grand Palais 9. Trocadero-where most of the people take the pictures where they are holding the Eifferl tower :) I recommend going to the trocadero at night so you can see the light show of the Eiffel tower. Again, first 10mins of the hour it sparkles. Now with this tour you can pretty much say you know all of Paris! Just kidding... but at least you would've visited the main things to see. The great thing about this bus is that you can get off and walk around and explore and take the next one at another stop. I do recommend doing the tour on the water. The experience is very different and romantic. <3 Specially going under the bridges and kissing under the "love" bridge. The one thing we didn't do was the love lock... most of you probably know that when you go to Paris you must put a lock with your name and your 'significant other'on the Pont de Arts and then throw the key in the river to symbolize unbreakable love. Well... so many people did this that now there is a concern that it may collapse! so if they haven't done it yet, they probably will remove them soon. So... don't waste your precious 10E that you can spend on delicious macaroons.Enough with the 'love' stories. Other places to see: Luxembourg gardens (if there is nice weather, I would definitely recommend bringing a bottle of wine and maybe some cheese for a cute picnic date). Check out Napoleon's tomb-you wouldn't believe how much gold is in that place! Of course the Moulin Rouge... I only passed by but everyone recommends watching a show! and in that area is Montmartre. MUST SEE at night! beautiful view and really cute restaurants in the hill. The area down the hill is not the nicest so just be extra careful.
