Norris Geyser Basin

Yellowstone National Park, WY 82190, USA
15 Kudos
I was very surprised to discover that this area of Yellowstone was actually quite crowded. Each time we drove by the parking area, it was guarded by barriers stating that the lot was full. Either the lot was very small or it was very crowded. In another story, I talked about the hike here. Once you actually get to the Norris Geyser basin, you will find boardwalks filled with people going around to the various areas here. There are a lot of different types of things to see in this thermal area and there are informational signs. This is the hottest area of the park, so please for the love of pete, do not stick your hands in the water here!
