Nobody whines at wine tasting.

Napa, CA, United States
8 Kudos
I’m sure we all know Napa Valley to be a nationally acclaimed tourist hotspot, however within the past few years of living within driving distance to the wine tasting action, I have really become more of a local and have begun to see that “local charm”. Being a performer, I travel a lot for work and Napa tends to be a destination for many of the events we cater to. A lot of these weddings/events are sprinkled throughout wine country in places such as Geyserville, Calistoga, Sonoma and beyond. If you take the time to plan ahead and hit the spots that might be less-talked about, you will find that the experience is much richer in terms of personable staff and cost.

Recently I took a friend who was in town from Oklahoma to the area and we hit Cornerstone for lunch. It was a cute little area with shops, wine tasting (of course) and amazing food. It was a nice break up of the day and I will definitely keep it in mind next time I’m in the area!

Solage Calistoga
Also, not the most affordable place to stay, but the food at their restaurant is great as are their facilities for events such as weddings, etc.
